Tenorio Multipurpose Center in Susupe, but she revealed that this might be their last show unless somebody helps her in raising funds.

“I can’t raise the money on my own. I can’t be the artist, creative director, and at the same time organizing fundraisers. We need help from the community,” said Glushko, who opened the dance school in 2002.

The surprising news somewhat dampened the lively mood of the crowd after a successful show that featured Russian ballet dancers Margarita Rudina and Alexey Nasadovich together with Glushko’s students.

“The girls and I love to dance. We love performing. We are only a little dance school and we can’t do it without sponsors. This was the lowest this year in terms of sponsorships and the least support from donors,” she added.

That’s why Glushko is appealing for the community’s help. “I hope organizations, businesses, and other members of the community could assist us. I can’t do it by myself. I love my job but it is really a hard year for us.”

She said that every show they build a platform on the stage and rent other equipment needed. “We always have our lights and sound equipment and rent chairs. Plus we also have to build a platform and that also costs us labor.”

Glushko added that they are also about to move to another studio after spending more than 10 years at the Marianas Business Plaza formerly Nauru Building. “It has been a tough year for us. We’re moving to another place and we’re going to announce where it is as soon as we finalize the details.”

“I just hope somebody stepped up to help me in organizing fundraising events and at the same time generous donors would do their share in helping us hold shows like this on Saipan.”

The two-part show started with the Sleeping Beauty Wedding with Rudina and Nasadovich playing the main characters of Princess Aurora and Prince Desire. Glushko, playing the Lilac Fairy, and her students portraying popular fairytale characters supported them.

Glushko Academy of Performing Arts creative director and choreographer Anna Glushko is seeking support from…

[4
10947,11783,11784,9259
post-228904","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-local-news","tag-anna-glushko","tag-lilac-fairy","tag-nauru-building","tag-tenorio-multipurpose-center
["GET
