(Ferdie Dela Torre)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The CNMI Judiciary has one judge available for at least this week.<\/p>\n<p>With the judges\u2019 and justices\u2019 absence, Superior Court Associate Judge Kenneth L. Govendo is acting Superior Court presiding judge and acting CNMI Supreme Court chief justice.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor the first time in the CNMI history, I\u2019m the acting presiding judge and the acting chief justice,\u201d the beaming Govendo announced yesterday after the conclusion of three bail hearings and a review hearing in criminal cases.<\/p>\n<p>In the afternoon, Govendo also presided over a motion hearing in a criminal case. At least two other hearings were continued.<\/p>\n<p>Saipan Tribune learned that Chief Justice Alexandro Castro and associate justices John A. Manglona and Perry B. Inos are in Guam for a Pacific Judicial Council\u2019s training\/conference.<\/p>\n<p>Presiding Judge Robert C. Naraja and Associate Judge Joseph N. Camacho also joined the Guam training\/conference.
