Members of the CNMI Drug Enforcement Task Force arrested on Thursday a man allegedly engaged in selling methamphetamine or \u201cice\u201d on Saipan. <\/p>\n
Rui Wei Huang, 41, also known as JCC Brother and Brother No-No, was served with an arrest warrant for trafficking of controlled substance and illegal possession of controlled substance.<\/p>\n
At a hearing on Friday, Superior Court Associate Judge Joseph N. Camacho imposed a $54,000 cash bail and set the preliminary hearing for June 15 at 9am.<\/p>\n
Assistant public defender Cindy Nesbit was appointed as counsel for Huang. Assistant attorney general Shannon Foley appeared for the government.<\/p>\n
DETF Officer Rudolph C. Sablan Jr. stated in his report that he, along with some DETF members met with their \u201ccooperating source\u201d last May 4 to prepare for a controlled purchase of \u201cice\u201d from Huang.<\/p>\n
Sablan said their \u201ccooperating source\u201d managed to buy $340 worth of \u201cice\u201d from Huang inside a car in the parking lot of JCC Laundromat in Garapat that same day. <\/p>\n
Sablan said the same \u201ccooperating source\u201d purchased $120 worth of \u201cice\u201d from Huang during the second buy-walk operation at the same location last May 11.<\/p>\n
