Likewise, the closure of Tinian Dynasty, left some CW workers on Tinian with no choice but to live in tents due to lack of power on their barracks.

The candidates express their heartfelt concerns to the well-being of each individual, especially to the young children of families who were affected. “There are 48 families affected by the closure and removal of 164 employees,” explained Malena Hofschneider, 2016 Miss CNMI Liberation’s Tinian liaison officer. “Children of these families range from 4 month old to 3 years old”.

“This is a situation that is beyond their control”, said Christine Roque, 2016 Miss CNMI Liberation public information officer. “We commend them for their strength, positivity, and continued hope for better days.”

“We are doing this because we care for all the people in the CNMI, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, etc.,” said Shanthia Espinosa, 2016 Miss CNMI Liberation Royal Court President. “These workers on Tinian, like those on Saipan and Rota, have dedicated and contributed years of their life in service to our community. It is only right for all of us to come together to assist them regardless of their status. We want them to know that we will do what we can to help them”.

The 2016 Miss CNMI Liberation Royal Court are accepting donations in the form of canned goods, toiletries, trash bags, drinking water, mosquito coils, baby formulas, milk, diapers, and school supplies for the employees and their families who were affected by the closure of the Tinian Dynasty. All donations will be greatly appreciated.
