TAMUNING, Guam\u2014Docomo Pacific and Marciano \u201cMark\u201d V. Pangilinan, a sole proprietorship, jointly announced the signing of a lease agreement that would relocate Guam\u2019s largest telecommunications company from Century Plaza to the former Ben Franklin building in Tamuning. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe are very excited about the synergy this will create among our associates and the convenience it will afford our customers,\u201d said Jonathan Kriegel, president and CEO of Docomo Pacific. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis is definitely a moment to celebrate our better together spirit with the Pangilinan family and our local community.\u201d<\/p>\n

A landmark that has been around for over 40 years\u2014this is a historic moment for the Pangilinan family. While a number of businesses have expressed interest in the building, Pangilinan is excited that Docomo Pacific will now become the official tenant. <\/p>\n

The new building has yet to be named, but it will encompass the Docomo Pacific brand. <\/p>\n

Docomo Pacific is optimistic that in partnership with Pangilinan, the two entities will contribute to the revitalization efforts of this area of the island. Pangilinan is very optimistic about the impact Docomo Pacific\u2019s presence will have on surrounding properties. <\/p>\n

M.V. Pangilinan Enterprises now has 12 months to complete the renovations. Docomo Pacific anticipates moving into the new location by fall of 2017. <\/p>\n

A merchant marine on board an American ship, Pangilinan arrived in Guam on June 15, 1946. With a borrowed $5,000 from the U.S. Navy-owned Bank of Guam, he established his company \u201cM.V. Pangilinan Enterprises\u201d and parlayed this seed of a loan into a conglomerate of business ventures\u2014retail, automotive dealerships, insurance underwriting, service operations, publishing and real estate leasing. <\/p>\n
