Or do you speak Chamorro or understand Chamorro, and just want to practice your Chamorro language skills? <\/p>\n<p>Well, CNMI Motheread\/Fatheread Family Literacy Program is pleased to offer a free Beginner\u2019s Chamorro Literacy Class held at your friendly Joeten-Kiyu Public Library this summer!  <\/p>\n<p>Read and borrow books translated into Chamorro from our award-winning Motheread\/Fatheread curriculum. Classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday for the month of July from 5pm to 6pm.<br \/>\nPlease call 235-7319\/783-7678\/285-9666 or email us at cnmimotheread@gmail.com and sign up today. <\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018Be part of the fun\u2019<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Friends of the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library are library supporters whose objectives are to:<br \/>\n\u2022 Promote and support the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library as a valuable asset for the CNMI<br \/>\n\u2022 Enhance the facilities, services and resources of the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library service<br \/>\n\u2022 Access non-government funding sources<br \/>\n\u2022 Support the freedom to read and free access to information for all<br \/>\nIf you share our goals, then please visit your friendly Joeten-Kiyu Public Library this Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 1:30pm to 2:30pm and be part of the fun!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Free financial classes<\/strong><br \/>\nAs part of a series of community summer seminars, CNMI Motheread\/Fatheread\u2019s Family Literacy Program in partnership with the Bank of Hawaii presented a series of Free Financial literacy classes this past Saturday, July 9, from 3pm to 4pm at your friendly Joeten-Kiyu Public Library; and Tuesday, July 12, from 10am to 11am at the Koblerville Youth Learning Center. <\/p>\n<p>Topnotch financial instructors from the Bank of Hawaii\u2014Herminio Matsumoto and Joanne Aldan\u2014taught the hour-long seminar covering topics such as the \u201cBasics of Banking\u201d and the \u201cABCs of Credit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Course materials and child care (for ages 4 years old to 11 years old) were provided for adults who participated in our financial literacy seminar.
