{"id":232808,"date":"2016-07-22T06:00:27","date_gmt":"2016-07-21T20:00:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=232808"},"modified":"2016-07-22T06:00:27","modified_gmt":"2016-07-21T20:00:27","slug":"dfems-receives-haz-mat-tech-refresher-course","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/dfems-receives-haz-mat-tech-refresher-course\/","title":{"rendered":"DFEMS receives  Haz Mat Tech  refresher course"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Bureau of Environmental &amp; Coastal Quality sponsored a Haz Mat Tech\/Spec Refresher Course at the Capitol Hill Fire Station from 8am to 5pm on July 12-14, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The Haz Mat Tech\/Spec Refresher program is certified by the California Office of Emergency Services\/California Specialized Training Institute (CSTI) and certificates will be issued to all Tech\/Spec trained personnel that completed the course.<\/p>\n<p>Topics covered included Hazard and Risk Assessment Techniques, Site Control Concepts, Haz Mat Operations and layout, Site Safety Plans, the HEINZ 5-Step Field Identification and Analysis, Technical Resources and Applications, Monitoring and Detection Instruments, and a full Scale Exercise with the use of Chemical Protective Clothing and Decontamination.
