Educational experience, indoor\/outdoor activities, healthy snack, camp out, and most importantly the fun and excitement made the Eskuelan San Francisco De Borja Summer Camp 2016 a success.<\/p>\n

The eight-week ESFDB Summer Camp 2016m dubbed \u201cLet\u2019s Beat It,\u201d for the Luta community children concluded on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016 with a culmination ceremony at the Rota Round House.<\/p>\n

The ceremony was witnessed by the camp participants parents and guests.<\/p>\n

Eskuelan San Francisco de Borja hosted its first summer camp program in 2012 and catering to the demand, it continued to provide the program offering a wide range of creative activities for children.<\/p>\n

School principal Carmen H. Atalig had been taking the initiative to secure the necessary documents to apply for the federal grant. While some programs charge significant fees to attend summer camps, ESFDB summer camp program is free of charge because of the federal fund being granted.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe ESFDB Let\u2019s Beat It Summer Camp 2016 was bittersweet for most kids, saying goodbye to old and new friends all while enjoying one of the greatest days of the summer,\u201d said Atalig.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat makes our Summer Camp unique is the partnership from various government agencies. And in these government agencies we have people working from diverse cultures and various job expertise,\u201d added Atalig.<\/p>\n

Atalig said, \u201cThe children coming out of the summer camp will be able to demonstrate the knowledge they had acquired from summer camp and promote and nurture positive impact toward their lives.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the summer camp provided a seminar for the parents to acquire some knowledge to help their children. It is important to network with the parents so they would follow up the skills being taught to their children.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s fulfilling to know Mrs. Atalig is always making these kids summer amazing with this summer camp experience for the children of the Luta community,\u201d said board chair Edward Maratita Jr.<\/p>\n

According to Maratita, \u201cOne of the coolest parts of ESFDB Let\u2019s Beat It Summer Camp for me personally is, there is a big difference from what other summer camp have as to what we have; it makes you feel grateful for the educational activity.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want to make this summer camp attractive for the children so they\u2019ll remember that they did these type of activity or experience it at ESFDB Summer Camp,\u201d added Maratita.<\/p>\n

Atalig was assisted by ESFDB\u2019s dedicated, professional, and veteran teachers\/camp counselors Florinda Chavez, Monette Ladao, Mary Rose Lucero, and Lea Maratita.<\/p>\n

Also helping out were youth camp leaders and volunteers Reziel Camacho, Rency Camacho, Michaela King, Liezel Hipolito, Joshua Puerto, Jezzel Candia, Jennylyn Candia, Ela San Nicolas, and A.J. San Nicolas. <\/p>\n

The ESFDB Let\u2019s Beat It Summer Camp 2016 funding was made possible by the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs Child Care Development Fund.<\/p>\n
