On the gaming side we have to realize that not a lot of our local residents have the gaming skills so a lot of them would probably come in and are interested in the dealer positions, something more introductory on the gaming side because we are still building up on the skills,” she said. “On the non-gaming side, we have the hotel operations, and food and beverage operations.”

Hong Kong-based Imperial Pacific would be opening the Grand Mariana Casino from early to mid-2017. Guerrero also added that as of now, Imperial Pacific is already starting to build up on the necessary manpower to properly run the hotel.

“What we’re doing is building our pools that are skilled and eventually set the training period before the actual opening.”

The casino would be opening a little earlier before the hotel, which is expected to open early 2017, is also starting to train employees. “On the casino side, we do not have too many local residents that have the skill on the gaming side, so we’re doing the training as we continue with the existing facility that we have,” said Guerrero.

Imperial Pacific is also holding mini job fairs for non-gaming operations. “With our non-gaming operations they do little mini ones because we want to continue with our search,” claimed Guerrero.

For the casino, more job fairs would be held. “The gaming side, what we’ve done this time is get both teams, get both for the entire company and put it together. We are planning to probably do this monthly. We are going to try and do that, to reach out, and then see what we get from that.”

Those interested in a career in the gaming indutsry, Guerrero said to send resumes to recruitment@bestsunshinesaipan.com for possible job interviews.

[4
13028,1098,13029,1537
post-234659","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-local-news","tag-bertha-leon-guerrero","tag-fiesta-resort","tag-grand-mariana-casino","tag-human-resources
["GET
