{"id":23560,"date":"2012-07-09T01:58:30","date_gmt":"2012-07-09T01:58:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newspaper.ctsi-logistics.com\/?p=23560"},"modified":"2012-07-09T01:58:30","modified_gmt":"2012-07-09T01:58:30","slug":"pic-mum-on-drowning-of-2-women","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/pic-mum-on-drowning-of-2-women\/","title":{"rendered":"PIC mum on drowning of 2 women"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>The Pacific Islands Club has remained mum on the drowning of two Korean women at its swimming pool early Thursday morning.<\/div>\n<p>PIC Saipan executive assistant Vicky Benavente on Friday said the Department of Public Safety is currently investigating the incident.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUntil the DPS investigation has been completed, we cannot release any information to the general public or media,\u201d said Benavente in an email.<\/p>\n<p>DPS said the victims, ages 26 and 27, were taken to the Commonwealth Health Center where a doctor pronounced one dead at 2:43am and the other at 3:18am.<\/p>\n<p>DPS said a security guard discovered one victim floating facedown on the pool surface, while the other was found at the bottom of the pool.<\/p>\n<p>The guard jumped into the pool to rescue the victims.
