{"id":23650,"date":"2012-07-10T02:30:41","date_gmt":"2012-07-10T02:30:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newspaper.ctsi-logistics.com\/?p=23650"},"modified":"2012-07-10T02:30:41","modified_gmt":"2012-07-10T02:30:41","slug":"fugitive-allegedly-selling-ice-falls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/fugitive-allegedly-selling-ice-falls\/","title":{"rendered":"Fugitive allegedly selling &#8216;ice&#8217; falls"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>The Drug Enforcement Task Force arrested Friday a fugitive who allegedly sells crystal methamphetamine or \u201cice\u201d in Gualo Rai.<\/div>\n<p>Changfeng Zhang, 30, also known as KK, was taken to the Superior Court yesterday on charges of trafficking of a controlled substance and illegal possession of a controlled substance.<\/p>\n<p>Superior Court Associate Judge Perry B. Inos imposed a $9,000 cash bail for Zhang&#8217;s temporary release.<\/p>\n<p>Preliminary hearing will be on July 16 at 9am.<\/p>\n<p>Task force detective Steven A. Castro stated in his report that they were able to purchase from Zhang a total of $1,200 worth of \u201cice\u201d during three sting operations in June and July.<\/p>\n<p>Castro said that, on June 14, 2012, he and another detective spoke to a \u201ccooperating source\u201d about a Chinese man named KK who was allegedly selling \u201cice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Castro said that, on June 15, the task force used an undercover police officer and the \u201ccooperating source\u201d to buy $200 worth of \u201cice\u201d from Zhang.<\/p>\n<p>The second operation occurred the next day, June 16, during which the same undercover police officer and \u201ccooperating source\u201d bought $200 worth of \u201cice\u201d from the defendant.<\/p>\n<p>The third operation was held on Friday, July 6, where the same undercover officer and \u201ccooperating source\u201d bought $800 worth of \u201cice\u201d from Zhang.<\/p>\n<p>After the suspect gave the illegal drugs to the two, he allegedly proceeded to a poker establishment in Garapan.<\/p>\n<p>Castro said the arresting team proceeded to the game room where they arrested Zhang.<\/p>\n<p>Castro said further investigation showed that Zhang is wanted by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for deportation.<\/p>\n<p>By Ferdie de la Torre<br \/>\nReporter<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Drug Enforcement Task Force arrested Friday a fugitive who allegedly sells crystal methamphetamine or&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":23,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[410,197,88],"class_list":["post-23650","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-local-news","tag-drugs","tag-gualo-rai","tag-superior-court"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/23650","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/23"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=23650"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/23650\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=23650"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=23650"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=23650"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
