The funds will be used under the Urban and Community Forestry program, which focuses on beautification of parks, beaches, and public places by planting trees.<\/p>\n<p>Funds also cover the Forest Stewardship Program, which focuses on non-industrial, private landowners and increasing the diversity of forest trees.<\/p>\n<p>The grant also covers the Cooperative Forest Health and Invasive Species, which focuses on tree health and recovery, reduction of invasive tree species, and reduction of forest pests.<\/p>\n<p>The 2012 award is approved for one year.
