Monroyo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Matansa Football Club and Shirley\u2019s FC are still in a neck-and-neck battle for first place in the girls U15 division of the 2016 NMIFA Youth Fall League after easing past separate roes last Saturday at the Francisco Mendiola Sablan Middle School Field.<\/p>\n<p>Shirley\u2019s FC downed MP United in the first game to improve its win-draw-loss mark to 4-0-1, the same slate Matansa holds following a 7-2 triumph over TanHoldings FC in the second match last weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Guinevere Borja stood out in Matansa\u2019s rout of TanHoldings FC after scoring five goals. Angelica and Lyka Sally nailed the two other goals for Matansa, which was slightly ahead of Shirley\u2019s in the team standings despite their similar records due to their goal difference, 20 to 14.<\/p>\n<p>With their seven goals in Week 5, Matansa\u2019s total is now 34 and it has allowed 14 goals so far. Shirley\u2019s on the other hand, has made 23 goals and yielded 9, going into the last three games in the second round.<\/p>\n<p>Borja posted the first goal for Matansa in the sixth minute and had her second in the 30th before firing the last three in consecutive fashion (53rd, 55th, and 66th). Angelica had her goal in the ninth, while Lyka hit the board in the 43rd.<\/p>\n<p>TanHoldings drew both its goals from Claire Barrozo, who scored in the 17th and 64th minute. TanHoldings has yet to break into the win column in five tries.<\/p>\n<p>In Shirley\u2019s-MP United tiff, Jerlyn Castillo knocked in a pair in the former\u2019s fourth win, while Jasmine Phan and Kathrine Magat chipped in one apiece. Phan recorded her goal in the seventh minute, while Castillo\u2019s first came in the 21st. Magat gave Shirley\u2019s its third goal just two minutes into the second half, while Castillo closed out for the team in the 56th.<\/p>\n<p>MP United\u2019s lone goal was courtesy of Maaya Sato and it was registered in the 29th minute. MP United absorbed its fourth loss against one win and is in fourth place in the team standings behind idle Kanoa (3-0-1).<\/p>\n<p><strong>CO-ED U12<br \/>\nMP United-1 4, Kanoa 2<\/strong><br \/>\nMP United ended Kanoa\u2019s four-game winning streak.<\/p>\n<p>With the victory, MP United-1 matched Kanoa\u2019s record (4-0-1) and the former is also a bit ahead of the latter in the team standings due to goal difference, 29 to 13.<\/p>\n<p>Rohan Basnet added three goals to MP United-1\u2019s total (41), while the team got an own goal from Kanoa\u2019s miscue. Besides scoring the most goals so far in the division, MP United-1 also has given up the least (12). Kanoa, which drew one goal apiece from Jaydee Jose and Merrick Toves, has earned 24 and yielded 11.<\/p>\n<p>Basnet\u2019s three goals were made in succession with his first tallied in the 12th and the second a minute later, while the last was recorded in the 34th. MP United-1 was credited with an own goal in the 46th minute.<\/p>\n<p>As for Kanoa\u2019s side, Jose hit the board in the 22nd minute, while Merrick knocked in his shot in the 44th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Paire 10, TanHoldings 4<\/strong><br \/>\nPaire earned its second victory after crushing TanHoldings.<\/p>\n<p>Dylan Mister made things happen for Paire (2-1-2) as he outgunned the entire TanHoldings crew with his five goals. River Kramer backed him up by adding three, while Max Church and Justin Weaver contributed one each.<\/p>\n<p>Neriah Nicole Lumbad had a pair for TanHoldings, which posted the first goal in the match off Angelo Pulido\u2019s shot in the second minute.
