She was definitely on a mission on Sunday and did a good job keeping her eye on the prize.

Ten other golfers participated in Sunday’s July qualifier round, which resulted in top honors going to Felix Sasamoto, who completed the round with a respectable 84 gross that adjusted into a field-low 65 net score.

Right behind him came Danny Quitugua, who shot a 41 on the front and finished the back side with a 39 for an even 80 gross total that worked into a 66 net tally.

Third place finisher John Matsumoto penciled in a 45 on the front nine and charged home on the back with a 41 for an 84 gross total that was shaved down to a 68 net score.

Other notables included Shirley Jones (89 gross) and Frank Sablan (81 gross) who ended up with net counts of 73.

Amigo’s July Ace final round is scheduled for July 22 at the Kingfisher Golf Links.

There are over 20 active Amigo members and new players are always welcome.

For more information, contact John Guerrero at 287-6352, Joe Sablan Jr. at 322-1177, or Lorraine Babauta at 989-7732.

By Walter J.
