The team of Ronnel Mostales and Jeffrey Bahillo is $5,000 richer after topping the fat-busting contest sponsored by TanHoldings.<\/p>\n

The corporation named the winners of its Lose Big, Win Big Saipan competition last Saturday during its Trunk or Treat event at the CPA Airport Field. <\/p>\n

Mostales and Bahillo, who called themselves the \u201cBagoong Fried Rice\u201d team, lost an amazing 66.34 percent of their body fat. <\/p>\n

Second place went to \u201cTT\u2019s Finest\u201d made up of Shane Alvarez and Vicente Masga, who lost 39.04 percent of their body fat. Alvarez and Masga earned $3,000. <\/p>\n

The \u201cInspired by Art\u201d team of Alfreda and Michael Camacho came in third after losing 37.48 percent of their body fat. They got $1,000 for their effort. <\/p>\n

Five teams placed fourth in the contest and pocketed $200 each.<\/p>\n

The goal of Lose Big, Win Big Saipan is to motivate the community into losing the most body fat percentage in order to make them more fit and active.<\/p>\n

TanHoldings vice president for Corporate Affairs Cathy Attao-Toves introduced the concept to the crowd. <\/p>\n

\u201cThese people made a decision to join this contest in an effort to make healthier decisions with the choices of what they eat and by exercising,\u201d said Toves.<\/p>\n

Toves added that the competition was based on total body fat percentage lost instead of weight loss to prevent fasting.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur Lose Big, Win Big Saipan contest consists of two people per team and is based on total percentage of fat loss instead of their weight,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

On the day of the announcement, the contestants showed up as healthy as ever. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey had a wonderful journey and a lot of them have been doing well,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

That same day, TanHoldings also held its first Trunk or Treat event, called Zombie Run, during which they decorated the trunks of their car with a Halloween theme and gave away candies and treats to the children.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
