Atalig in a match play during the 2016 Club Lao Charity Golf Tournament held late last month at the Laolao Bay Golf and Resort.<\/p>\n<p>Togawa took the club championship as she went 2-up against Atalig in the finale last Oct. 30 on the east course of the Kagman facility. Togawa also ruled the women\u2019s division match play, besting seven other players.<\/p>\n<p>The daughter of veteran golfer Noriko Togawa moved two wins away from topping the women\u2019s field after eliminating Sherlyn Jones, 3-2, last Oct. 29 on the east course. Yuko then moved to the west course to play Yong Sook Kwon, who downed Sun Sook Kim in the other pairing 1-up. Yuko prevailed anew, 2-up to arrange a title showdown against Yuri Kim.<\/p>\n<p>Yuri advanced to the finals after ousting Shiori Onoue, 6-5, and Young Im Jeon, 6-5.  Jeon earlier defeated Mi Na Park, 3-2, to set a semis tiff against Yuri, who eventually lost to Yuko in the finals on the east course, 3-4.<\/p>\n<p>Over on the west course, Atalig edged Feng Chun Jin in the men\u2019s division finals, 1-up. Atalig gained the finals entry after knocking off Joon Hoon Park, 4-3, and Harry Nakamura, 3-2, in the lower half of the bracket.<\/p>\n<p>At the upper half, Jin barged into the finals following his victories over Eric Mandell, 7-6, and Dong Young Lee, 1-up. Lee moved into the semis after booting out Seung Woo Kang, 3-2, while Nakamura made it to the Final Four with his 3-2 triumph against Freddie Cataluna.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yuko Togawa was named Club Lao champion after beating men\u2019s division winner J.J.
