Mizutani Jr. said the cause of fire is undetermined and that further investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>Mizutani said the department sent a fire truck and a medic unit from the Garapan Fire Station to Marpi by the landfill for a reported vehicle fire on Monday at 10:50am.<\/p>\n<p>Arriving some 10 minutes later, fire lieutenant Raymond Borja noted that there was no smoke or fire on the vehicle, Mizutani said. <\/p>\n<p>A fire investigator then conducted an initial investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Mizutani said the initial investigation showed that the vehicle was not warm when touched and there were no findings of smoke, fire or smoldering.<\/p>\n<p>However, Mizutani said, the vehicle was totally burnt.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFurther investigation revealed that the vehicle was a car rental and was reported stolen from the car rental lot,\u201d the information officer said.<\/p>\n<p>The type of vehicle was not indicated in the report.<\/p>\n<p>Mizutani said the Department of Public Safety should have more information about how the car was stolen. <\/p>\n<p>As of press time, DPS had yet to release information about the car theft. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A car that was stolen from a rental company was found totally burnt by the&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":23,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[162,6285,14266,6810],"class_list":["post-240723","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-local-news","tag-car","tag-garapan-fire-station","tag-mizutani-jr","tag-raymond-borja"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/240723","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/23"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=240723"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/240723\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=240723"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=240723"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=240723"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
