The Compassionate Friends will be joining this year\u2019s Worldwide Candle Lighting ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 11, starting at 6:45pm at the Garapan Central Park (in front of Gold\u2019s Gym).<\/p>\n
Believed to be the largest mass candle lighting on the globe, the 20th Annual Worldwide Candle Lighting creates a virtual 24-hour wave of light as it moves from time zone to time zone. It started in the United States in 1997 as a small Internet observance but has since swelled in numbers as word has spread throughout the world of the remembrance. <\/p>\n
If you would like your child\u2019s or sibling\u2019s photo included in the slide show, e-mail one or two photos to nelsonkrum@msn.com before Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016.<\/p>\n
Attendees are also welcome to bring a framed photo or small memento of their loved one for a display.\u00a0 Please bring your loved one\u2019s favorite dessert (finger food) to be shared, along with memories, after the program.<\/p>\n
Those unable to attend may participate by simply lighting a candle at home alone, or with friends and family and\/or submit a memorial post about a loved one in the Remembrance Book which will be available during the event, at TCF\u2019s national website at http:\/\/www.compassionatefriends.org\/home.aspx.<\/p>\n
