{"id":241255,"date":"2016-11-25T06:10:11","date_gmt":"2016-11-24T20:10:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=241255"},"modified":"2016-11-25T06:10:11","modified_gmt":"2016-11-24T20:10:11","slug":"fair-traces-wartime-histories","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/fair-traces-wartime-histories\/","title":{"rendered":"Fair traces wartime histories"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Family History Fair last Saturday at the American Memorial Park\u2019s Visitors Center gave its audience a fun and interactive experience that gave the elderly a chance to recount their experiences during World War II.<\/p>\n<p>The Family History Fair was created for the purpose of having an interactive experience with the elderly, with them telling stories of past experiences to a crowd of people.<\/p>\n<p>Valrick Welch, Project Traditional Technology project manager, said: \u201cIt was a very fun and interactive event tonight. We had some representative here, with one talking about the loss of his son. \u2026We were honestly hoping for a lot more [turnout but] that\u2019s just the nature of it.
