A low-cost Korean airline will start offering daily flights to and from Korea before Christmas of 2016.<\/p>\n
Korean airline T\u2019way Air would be offering regular daily flights from the Incheon International Airport to the Francisco C. Ada\/Saipan International Airport starting Dec. 24, 2016.<\/p>\n
The popular low-cost carrier will help improve arrival numbers from South Korea. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe are very excited about the launch of new service between the CNMI and Seoul-Incheon with the inaugural flight of T\u2019way Airlines on Dec. 24. It\u2019s a timely Christmas gift for the CNMI as we welcome our fifth regular scheduled airline from Korea,\u201d said Marianas Visitors Authority managing director Chris Concepcion.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith their daily flights to Saipan we expect arrival numbers [of Korean tourists] to continue to increase. The MVA is working closely with T\u2019way to promote the Marianas as a premier destination for the Korean traveler,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Concepcion expressed concern about the lack of hotel rooms on the islands as more and more tourists from China and Korea flock to the CNMI.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are concerned about the insufficient hotel room inventory, which limits our ability to accommodate more guests but we are hopeful the upcoming hotel projects will alleviate some of these issues,\u201d said Concepcion.<\/p>\n
T\u2019way Air is a popular low-cost carrier based in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, South Korea. Founded in August 2010, T\u2019way Air has a fleet size of 15 with flights going to 26 destinations including China, Guam, Japan, Laos, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and the CNMI.
