Members of the Corporate Social Responsibility team of Imperial Pacific International, Ltd. got a pleasant surprise yesterday afternoon when Hawaiian musical artist J-Boog and several other performers visited their office.<\/p>\n
Geri Dela Cruz, CSR executive director, said, \u201cIt was a wonderful feeling. The staff was really excited and happy. [It\u2019s] not everyday [that] you get visited by performers like that so I think it was a great treat for them.\u201d<\/p>\n
J-Boog and about 25 other people participating in his upcoming concert visited the CSR team.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe visit was great! Everyone was very welcoming. The hospitality was great; we\u2019re just having a good time. It\u2019s been real sunny out there, a great time for a show,\u201d said J-Boog.<\/p>\n
\u201cImperial Pacific became a sponsor to the concert the moment they heard about it. It\u2019s the holidays and they always want to do something for the community. What better way than to bring in someone who they know will make everyone happy? We\u2019ll definitely be at the concert, we want to be there actually,\u201d Dela Cruz said.<\/p>\n
The concert\u2019s promoter, Steven Brownstein, said, \u201cThe visit today is something not often done by artists. To visit business establishments, it was definitely a new experience and we\u2019re glad they decided to come here. The enthusiasm of all the employees was simply overwhelming.\u201d<\/p>\n
Brownstein hosts concerts as well as community events on island.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is a large fan base for all four of those performers. Each one of them is a headliner themselves. Every one of them has a desire to come and since it\u2019s Christmas time we packaged them as one group and then Guam the next night,\u201d Brownstein said. <\/p>\n
\u201cThank you guys [fans] for bringing us here to Saipan. We love you all! We love the weather, we love the food, and we just want to get on that stage and show just how much we appreciate everyone. The event will be a great chance to just let your hair down and relax,\u201d J-boog said<\/p>\n
The concert will be held tonight, Dec. 9, at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort. Aside from J-Boog, it also includes artists like Anuhea, Jimmy Weeks Project, and Mike Love.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
