They’ve been doing it so long, almost every year, and they never miss coming over and making everyone happy. It’s not just the money or the items they bring, but also the thought and the time to personally hand it over that makes us so appreciative.”

Maria Taitano Salinas said. “We just love them. I look forward to them coming every year and they seem happy to visit. I’m just speechless because they’re so good to us. I know they fundraise for these things and I hope they continue to have good luck with that. All of them are so much fun to be with and it’s great that we all got a personal gift from them.”

Aside from the man’amko, children in pediatric care and those living in less fortunate housing will also be receiving packages for the holidays.

The Matua Riders are mostly a motorcycle-riding association.

A Matua Rider, Pete Deleon Guerrero, said, “This is what we’ve been doing since the Matua Riders was first established in 2010. We don’t just ride around. We spend time with the community. After all, Saipan’s our island.”

The organization’s goal for the year is for the Matua Riders to distribute about 200 care packages, 50 more than last year’s.

Members of the Matua Riders surprised the man’amko again with even more care packages in…

[4
14509,14679,11869,14680
post-242294","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-local-news","tag-christmas-spirit-run","tag-maria-taitano-salinas","tag-matua-riders","tag-rita-indalecio-reyes
["GET
