They have shown excellence by winning in different events like reading, public speaking, interpretations, and debate.

With fewer numbers of competitors in December, GCA’s Kindergarten to 5th graders even improved their number of wins in the Primary Grades Forensic Conference compared to the same month last year. They won six first places in different events.

Like their younger schoolmates, GCA’s 17 students from 6th grade to 8th grade soared high in the National Junior Speech and Debate Association. So did 11 GCA students in 9th to 12th grades in the National Speech and Debate Association competition in November. All of the NJSDA and NSDA competitors won one or more of the events they competed in.

The administration, faculty and staff, and parents of Grace Christian Academy were very proud of each student and would like to extend their congratulations to the following winners and everyone who participated in these islandwide competitions.

PRIMARY GRADES FORENSIC CONFERENCE
K-2 DIVISION

Dramatic Interpretation A
Breanna May Lopez, 4th Place
Aiyana Victory Fatialofa, 5th Place

Humorous Interpretation A
Aiyana Victory Fatialofa, 3rd Place

Humorous Interpretation B
Maria Sofia Gomez, 2nd Place
Breanna May Lopez, 4th Place
Akira Ito, 5th Place

Impromptu Speaking A
Mariska Badal, 5th Place

Impromptu Speaking C
Min Su Andy Kim, 2nd Place

Readers Forum Masters B
Justin Yao Ma, 3rd Place
Shewoo Kim, 4th Place
Rafael Ablog, 5th Place

Choral Speaking A
Min Su Andy Kim, 3rd Place
Rafael Ablog, 3rd Place
Clarisse Marzan, 3rd Place

PRIMARY GRADES FORENSIC CONFERENCE
3-5 DIVISION

Dramatic Interpretation A
Tae Hee Kim, 1st Place
William Matthew Cano, 2nd Place
Jennifer Woo, 3rd Place
Azriel Fatialofa, 4th Place

Humorous Interpretation A
Serim Woo, 3rd Place

Duo Interpretation A
Moira Grace Ernest, 1st Place
Seungeun Olivia Ha, 1st Place
Ashley Ji Hye Jeon, 4th Place
Kei Lizama, 4th Place

Impromptu Speaking A
Moira Grace Ernest, 1st Place
Serim Woo, 3rd Place
Angieleysha Marie Punzalan,
4th Place
Sena Woo, 5th Place

Impromptu Speaking B
Tae Young Lee, 2nd Place
Sara Elizabeth Keaton, 3rd Place
Nestor Ablog Jr., 4th Place
Janus Roman, 5th Place

Readers Forum A
Janus Roman, 3rd Place

Readers Forum Masters B
Tae Hee Kim, 1st Place
Jennifer Woo, 4th Place

Readers Forum Masters C
Ashley Ji Hye Jeon, 1st Place
Kei Lizama, 5th Place

Readers Forum Masters D
Angieleysha Marie Punzalan, 4th Place
Yellena Sarang Kim, 5th Place

Choral Speaking A
Yellena Sarang Kim, 1st Place
Alyssa Kim, 1st Place
Jeongyun Jang, 1st Place
Jung Woo Kim, 1st Place
Rafael Busby, 1st Place

Teachers/coach
K5 teacher Sheryl Joy Prieto;
