With their year-end concert behind them, the man\u2019amko relaxed with a celebration at the Carolinian utt in Garapan yesterday.<\/p>\n
The man\u2019amko brought their preferred dishes, along with a barbecue and a gift exchange amongst themselves.<\/p>\n
Teresita Sorroza said, \u201cToday is an exciting day considering we are not in the center. Instead of just sitting down in a building we get to be out in the open to enjoy some fresh air.\u201d<\/p>\n
She credits the Office on Aging program for a new set of friends and family.<\/p>\n
\u201cI really enjoy living on island. \u2026I feel connected with the people in the program and I can enjoy their company,\u201d Sorroza said.<\/p>\n
Another man\u2019amko, Pedro Dela Cruz said, \u201cI really enjoy the party we\u2019re holding today. There\u2019s great food on the table and we can just relax, especially with the ocean right next to us.\u201d<\/p>\n
Also present to make a few remarks was Man\u2019amko Council president Rita Indalecio Reyes.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think this celebration is a very good idea. The party brings all of the man\u2019amko out of the center and has everyone enjoying each other\u2019s company.
