Two alleged traffickers of methamphetamine or \u201cice\u201d on Saipan were arrested on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Derek Camacho Reyes, 35, and Raymond Yokota Dador, 29, were arrested for trafficking of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.<\/p>\n
At a hearing yesterday, Superior Court Associate Judge Teresa Kim-Tenorio kept the $100,000 cash bail that the court earlier imposed on each defendants.<\/p>\n
Preliminary hearing for Reyes will be on Jan. 20 at 9am; Dador\u2019s is on Jan. 18 at 9am. <\/p>\n
Assistant public defender Nancy Dominski was appointed as counsel for Reyes and Dador. Assistant attorney general Chester Hinds appeared for the government.<\/p>\n
Hinds in court documents disclosed that CNMI Drug Enforcement Task Force officer Roque K. Camacho arrested Reyes on Dec. 10, 2016. <\/p>\n
Upon his arrest, Reyes told law enforcers that he will serve as a confidential informant in exchange for his release without cash bail.<\/p>\n
The court granted the government\u2019s request to seal the case against Reyes and release him. Yet Reyes has not cooperated with law enforcement in ongoing investigations.<\/p>\n

Camacho said their cooperating source managed to purchase $40 worth of \u201cice\u201d from Reyes during a \u201cbuy-walk operation\u201d outside his residence in Sadog Tasi last Dec. 7.<\/p>\n
Camacho said Reyes assisted them in conducting a controlled buy-walk operation against his \u201cice\u201d source last Dec. 10.<\/p>\n
Camacho said after the arrest of the alleged \u201cice\u201d supplier, a Chinese national, Reyes stopped providing valuable information and resorted to selling drugs.<\/p>\n
In Dador\u2019s case, task force officer Rudolph C. Sablan Jr. stated in his report that a cooperating defendant was able to buy $40 worth of \u201cice\u201d from Dador during a \u201cbuy-walk\u201d operation at her house in Finasisu last Nov. 25. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
