But I also knew that sacrificing familiarity meant education and awareness, which I hope to share [with the] community.”

Arangorin chose the University of San Francisco because she says it has a great faculty, academics, and diverse student body. She joined several clubs and volunteered in her school’s university ministry’s St. Vincent de Paul Meal Project, which helps feed San Francisco’s homeless.

Arangorin interned at the San Francisco General Hospital as well as California Pacific Medical Center’s Mother Baby Unit.

“Moving to a diverse city like San Francisco and attending a private school exposed me to different people with different stories. Combining psychology, which made me understand how people and the world works, with my passion in helping the youth, I aim to become a medical professional that would someday lead a generation,” she said. “Like my university motto states, ‘Change the world from here!’”

Arangorin is the daughter of Manolo and Norbe Arangorin. (PR)

A 2012 graduate of Kagman High School just graduated from the University of San Francisco…

[12
15096,419,67,10582
post-244313","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-campus-life","tag-asian-studies","tag-kagman-high-school","tag-people","tag-usf
["GET
