Monroyo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Youth bikers Rhenmer Remillosa and J.C. Ferrer were among the top finishers in Pacific Island Club\u2019s Southside Siheky Ride held last Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>In the boys short course (18K), Rhenmer Remillosa won the three-way fight for first place after clocking in at 51:33. He was also the top overall finisher in the short course, while Wynn Brillo and Taiga Sato rounded out the Top 3 in the division after checking in at 52:50 and 59:01, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>J.C. Ferrer was the lone entry in the girls short course and was also the fastest among the female entries after submitting 1:10:01. Ferrer came in ahead of women\u2019s first placer Marjorie Marfega (1:19:01), Vernice Runda (1:19:18), and Mei Rengiil (1:22:01).<\/p>\n<p>In the men\u2019s short course, Fred Remillosa broke the one-hour barrier to finish ahead of 32 other bikers in the division. Remillosa logged 52:51 to land the top spot, while Butch Sublemente and Ding Ramos completed the podium finish. Sublemente and Ramos also capped the race under one hour after registering 55:00 and 57:50, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Sihedy Ride that is named after PIC\u2019s mascot, which is a caricature of the nearly extinct Micronesian Kingfisher, also featured a long course (32K). Bikers in both courses negotiated the roads along Coral Ocean Point, Ladder Beach, Obyan Beach, and Naftan Point before heading back to the start\/finish line at the southern parking lot of PIC. Participants in the 32K race rounded the course twice.<\/p>\n<p>Charlie Sendin ruled the long course after recording 1:27:58. Nap Dizon came in at second with his 1:31:51, while Mark Isip placed third after logging 1:32:03.<\/p>\n<p>Nine other bikers completed the long course: The list includes Raymond Tolentino (1:55:47), Florence Antonio (1:40:16), David Muna (1:51:05), Noe Valdisimo (1:39:39), Ricky Castro (2:03:53), Arnold Narciso (2:14:08), Rommel Isidro (2:00:24), Donald Stover (1:42:47), and Paul Plunkett (1:51:04).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Youth bikers Rhenmer Remillosa and J.C.
