Latte Training Academy Inc. gave 10 scholarships to 10 students, amounting to $11,000 last week during the graduation ceremony of the fall 2016 Hotel and Hospitality Certification Course.<\/p>\n
The scholarships given out were multiple scholarships of $1,000 and one $2,000, totaling $11,000.<\/p>\n
The sole recipient of the $2,000 scholarship, known as the Marianas Hospitality Scholarship, is Eloise E. Lopez of Marianas High School and is currently a student of Northern Marianas College.<\/p>\n
Lopez completed the Hotel and Hospitality certification course, one of the many courses offered by the academy. The scholarship required recipients of the $2,000 scholarship to have completed at least one course. For the $1,000 variant of the same name, the recipient must either be attending Kagman High School, Marianas High School, or Saipan Southern High School.<\/p>\n
\u201cI took this course because I\u2026want to learn more. This could be one of the things that I can actually develop [in the future],\u201d said Lopez. \u201cI want to get a job [in the industry] first and see where I can go from there.\u201d<\/p>\n
Lopez was excited and nervous upon receiving the scholarship. \u201cI can\u2019t wait to do much more.\u201d<\/p>\n
