Monroyo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Fiesta Resort &amp; Spa Saipan is just a win away from sweeping the regular season of the 2016 TanHoldings Christmas Basketball Tournament following its 48-24 rout of QQ Rent A Car in the women\u2019s division game last Monday at the Gillette Multipurpose Gymnasium.<\/p>\n<p>Fiesta now has a 6-0 record in the seven-team field and will attempt to keep its perfect mark this Saturday when it takes on Sun Palace (4-2). <\/p>\n<p>Chevy Kate Alipio top-scored in Fiesta\u2019s 24-point win against QQ Rent A Car after registering 11 points. Three of his teammates chipped in at least 6 points apiece to ease past their foe.<\/p>\n<p>Fiesta is already assured of one of the four semis spots in its group, Sun Palace, IT&amp; E (5-2), and CTSI (5-1).<\/p>\n<p>Sun Palace and IT&amp;E formalized their entry to the playoff round after downing separate foes this week. IT&amp;E pummeled Armatech, 67-8,  last Wednesday, while Sun Palace topped QQ Rent A Car last Monday, 28-18.<\/p>\n<p>Jeralyn Castillo towed Sun Palace to the double-figure win against QQ after scoring 14 points.<\/p>\n<p>IT&amp;E, on the other hand, spread the wealth to hand Armatech (2-4) a beating. Jan Travilla, Tawnie Manibusan, and Karleen Reyes all tallied twin digits, while four other IT&amp;E players contributed at least 4 points apiece.<\/p>\n<p>Armatech made only three field goals in the entire game and had no player hitting more than one basket in the lopsided match.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, in the boys 25 division, the Ol\u2019Aces 2 is likely to march into the semis round as it improved to a 4-1 record following a 63-40 victory over Rollers 1 (3-1) last Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The Ol\u2019Aces 2 took the solo lead in the division, which has six teams and only four will advance to the next round.<\/p>\n<p>Jeff Castro paced the Ol\u2019Aces 2 with his 15 points, while R.J. Paragados added 11.<\/p>\n<p>In other results, MHS and Ol\u2019Aces 1 downed their respective opponents in the boys U16 division.<\/p>\n<p>The Ol\u2019Aces 1 (3-4), which are out of the playoff race, capped its season with a 48-44 triumph over Gen Cup (2-5).  The Ol\u2019Aces finished fifth out of the eight teams in the division, just a win behind last semifinalist Rollers 1 (4-2).<\/p>\n<p>MHS, on the other hand, joined the Ol\u2019Aces 2 in second place as the former also ended the elimination round with a 5-2 mark after easing past the 670 Thunder, 46-32.
