{"id":246375,"date":"2017-02-13T06:03:21","date_gmt":"2017-02-12T20:03:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=246375"},"modified":"2017-02-13T06:03:21","modified_gmt":"2017-02-12T20:03:21","slug":"cook-gets-5-years-prison-ice-possession","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/cook-gets-5-years-prison-ice-possession\/","title":{"rendered":"Cook gets 5 years in prison for \u2018ice\u2019 possession"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A restaurant cook who is allegedly a major supplier of methamphetamine or \u201cice\u201d on Saipan pleaded guilty last week as part of a plea deal and was slapped with a five-year prison sentence.<br \/>\nXiongying Xu, 48, a Chinese national, pleaded guilty to illegal possession of a controlled substance.<\/p>\n<p>Xu got credit for time served since his arrest last June 25, 2016, and was ordered to pay a $2,000 fine.<\/p>\n<p>The Office of the Attorney General originally charged him with two counts of trafficking of a controlled substance, and two counts of illegal possession of a controlled substance.<br \/>\nAssistant attorney general J.
