Benigno R. Fitial and Lt. Gov. Eloy S. Inos to veto a local bill appropriating $13,000 to the commission for its operations and activities for fiscal year 2012 because he said the bill does not include past due payments of more than $60,000 owed him.<\/div>\n<p>Antolin said the amount includes past due salary and reimbursement.<\/p>\n<p>He said he has not gotten paid since July 2011.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe executive director should be included in this appropriation,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>House Local Bill 17-83, introduced by Rep. Teresita Santos (Ind-Rota), is now with the governor after the Rota Legislative Delegation passed it on first and final reading on July 12.<\/p>\n<p>Of the $13,000 being appropriated for the Rota Casino Gaming Commission, $5,000 will be for legal counsel, $7,500 for commissioners&#8217; compensation, and $500 for operations.<\/p>\n<p>Right now, however, there is no operating casino on Rota. The one that has a license stopped operations temporarily.<\/p>\n<p>By Haidee V.
