Manglona wants to know the status of Junior Larry Hillbroom\u2019s pending criminal cases in Palau.<\/p>\n<p>Manglona told Hillbroom\u2019s new lawyer, Rachel Dimitruk, last week to update the court on the status of Hillbroom\u2019s criminal cases on June 29, 2017. By then, the court will hold a status conference on Hillbroom\u2019s legal malpractice lawsuit against his two former lawyers.<\/p>\n<p>Manglona set the jury trial in Hillbroom\u2019s lawsuit for Feb. 6, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>A pre-settlement conference will be held on Nov. 28, 2017, while the final settlement conference will be on Dec. 12, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>According to the minutes of last week\u2019s hearing, Manglona also announced her rulings pertaining to some motions filed by lawyers David J. Lujan and Barry Israel, who are defendants in Hillbroom\u2019s lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>Hillbroom is one of the four DNA-proven children of the late business tycoon and DHL co-founder Larry Lee Hillblom. <\/p>\n<p>Hillbroom was recaptured in Palau hours after he allegedly escaped from police\u2019s custody on Feb. 9, 2016, just a few hours after he was arrested over the seizure of $160,000 worth of methamphetamine or \u201cice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hillbroom is suing Lujan and Israel for allegedly conspiring with a former trustee to inflate their contingency fee when Hillblom\u2019s fortune was still undergoing probate proceedings in Superior Court. <\/p>\n<p>Hillbroom\u2019s name is spelled differently from DHL co-founder Hillblom.
