Saipan SDA to host 5K Hope Run<\/strong>
\nThe Saipan SDA School 5K Hope Run will take place this Sunday, Feb. 26. The race starts at 6:30am and the course is from the Garapan Fishing Base to the Trankun Da\u2019uk (the green and yellow pavilion across form the courthouse). (PR)<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2018Talk to Your Rep\u2019 today<\/strong>
\nResidents of Garapan, Gualo Rai, Navy Hill, and Chinatown are invited to the \u201cTalk to Your Rep\u201d event today, Feb. 24, at 6pm at the Carolinian utt. This is a community outreach for residents of these villages to discuss concerns and share ideas with Rep. Ivan A. Blanco. The date and time for the March meeting will be announced later for residents of Capital Hill, Sadog Tasi, Chalan Kiya, Oleai, and contiguous areas in Precinct 3. (PR)<\/strong><\/p>\n

9th JP Glow Walk today<\/strong>
\nTanHoldings will be holding its 9th Annual JP Walk today, Feb. 24. Registration is $10 per person, inclusive of a free shirt (while supplies last) and a raffle ticket. The fair will start at 5pm. Pick up registration forms at the JP Center Bldg. along Beach Road in Garapan or register at the site starting at 4pm. There will be two routes. The 3K will start from the Garapan Fishing Base to the turning point across Gold Beach Hotel and there will be a turning point at Quartermaster Road intersection for the 5K. Air Force training at Farallon de Medinilla <\/strong>
\nASAN, Guam\u2014The U.S. military will conduct training at the island of Farallon de Medinilla today, Feb. 24, from 10am to 3:45pm. The location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla will be on a 12-nautical mile radius on all quadrants. (PR)<\/strong><\/p>\n

MIFICPA tax seminar on Feb. 25<\/strong>
\nThe Marianas Institute of Filipino CPA\u2019s and Accountants will be hosting their annual tax seminar on Feb. 25 at the Raraina, Aqua Resort Club, from 8am to noon. This year\u2019s focus will be on tax updates for 2016 and 2017, changes in tax laws, tax filing requirements, and others. <\/p>\n

David Burger, CPA, will be conducting the seminar. He is the managing partner of Burger, Comer, and Magliari. <\/p>\n

Registration starts at 7:30am. Registration fee for members is $20. Non-members and non-accountants are also welcome for the same fee.<\/p>\n

Xavier entrance exam on Feb. 25<\/strong>
\nThe Xavier High School entrance written exam will be administered on Feb. 25, at 8:30am at Mt. Carmel School.\u00a0 Interested test takers are encouraged to bring several No. 2 pencils, snacks, and water.\u00a0 Exam fee is $10. There are two parts to the exam (English and math).\u00a0 Each exam lasts one hour and 30 minutes with a 15-minute break in between.\u00a0Test takers should be prepared to be on the Mt. Carmel school grounds for three hours and 30 minutes from 8am to 11:30pm.\u00a0 Exam starts exactly at 8:30am.\u00a0 Interested exam takers are encouraged to RSVP by Thursday, Feb. 23, to reserve a seat a seat. Bodybuilding federation to host fundraiser<\/strong>
\nThe Northern Marianas Bodybuilding & Physique Federation will be holding a \u201cParty in the Park\u201d on Feb. 25, 2017, from 6pm to 9pm, at the Garapan Central Park (Roundhouse) to raise funds for our bodybuilders to compete in local and international competitions. The cost is $20 per person.<\/p>\n

The federation is preparing for the 3rd Annual Marianas Muscle competition to be held on March 25, 2017, and in July it will be holding the CNMI bodybuilding championships. <\/p>\n
