If you\u203are talking about a group of elderly in English and want to use the word, then \u201cman amko\u201d should be used;\u00a0however, if you want to\u00a0talk about a single elderly, then \u00abi amko\u00bb should be used. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m surprised bilingual teachers haven\u2019t spoken up about this as I\u2019ve heard \u201cmanamkos\u201d used by adult Chamorros as well as have the word printed with the \u201cs\u201d added in.
