Correct me if I\u2019m wrong, but the word manamkos is not a Chamorro word.\u00a0There is no \u201cs\u201d in man amko. \u00a0The word by itself is plural. If you\u203are talking about a group of elderly in English and want to use the word, then \u201cman amko\u201d should be used;\u00a0however, if you want to\u00a0talk about a single elderly, then \u00abi amko\u00bb should be used. \u00a0<\/p>\n

I\u2019m surprised bilingual teachers haven\u2019t spoken up about this as I\u2019ve heard \u201cmanamkos\u201d used by adult Chamorros as well as have the word printed with the \u201cs\u201d added in. PSS, take note!<\/p>\n
