{"id":247635,"date":"2017-03-03T06:00:39","date_gmt":"2017-03-02T20:00:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=247635"},"modified":"2017-03-03T06:00:39","modified_gmt":"2017-03-02T20:00:39","slug":"mcdonalds-donates-10k-college","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/mcdonalds-donates-10k-college\/","title":{"rendered":"McDonald\u2019s  donates $10K  to the college"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>McDonald\u2019s Saipan is offering a $5,000 hole-in-one prize for the NMC Foundation\u2019s upcoming golf tournament on March 18.<\/p>\n<p>McDonald\u2019s Saipan also donated $5,000 to the fundraising golf tournament itself.<\/p>\n<p>NMC president Dr. Carmen Fernandez is very happy with how the golf tournament preparations have been going and that she always appreciated the support of the Ayuyu family.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMr. Joe Ayuyu has always been supportive and his daughter, Mable Ayuyu, was a member of the Northern Marianas College Foundation. We are just so happy with the really good [amount] of donations given for the upcoming golf tournament. We think it is going to be a very big success,\u201d said Fernandez.<\/p>\n<p>Much of the funds that will be raised would go to the improvement of classrooms or professional development training of NMC staff.<\/p>\n<p>McDonald\u2019s Saipan executive assistant to the president Mable Ayuyu said that McDonald\u2019s supports education above all.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEducation is an investment.
