{"id":247763,"date":"2017-03-07T06:00:22","date_gmt":"2017-03-06T20:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=247763"},"modified":"2017-03-07T06:00:22","modified_gmt":"2017-03-06T20:00:22","slug":"businessman-company-seek-courts-default-judgment-vs-defendants-racketeering-suit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/businessman-company-seek-courts-default-judgment-vs-defendants-racketeering-suit\/","title":{"rendered":"Businessman, company seek court\u2019s default  judgment vs defendants in racketeering suit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Korean businessman Il Hwan Kim and his former company are requesting the federal court to issue a default judgment against three persons who are among those named in their racketeering lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>Kim and KSA Corp., through counsel Jennifer Dockter, stated that the U.S. District Court for the NMI\u2019s clerk of the court entered last Nov. 23 a default judgment against Hun Jin An, Jeong Eun Tack, and Joann P. Hensley.<\/p>\n<p>Dockter said An, Tack and Hensley continue to fail to file any answer or other responsive pleadings.<\/p>\n<p>Dockter said the period in which An, Tack, and Hensley were to answer has expired.<\/p>\n<p>In an order on Friday, U.S. District Court for the NMI magistrate judge Heather L. Kennedy set a case management conference for March 31 at 10:30am.<\/p>\n<p>Kim and KSA allege in their lawsuit that the defendants conspired to steal millions of dollars from him for his hotel and casino project on Saipan.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from the three defendants, Kim and KSA Corp. are suing former Department of Public Lands employee Ramon S.
