Start your way to a healthier lifestyle by attending tomorrow\u2019s health fair organized by the Northern Marianas College\u2019s Nursing Club. The health fair will be held tomorrow, March 11, 2017, from 8am to 12pm at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe.<\/p>\n
Fair activities will run from 8am until 12pm and will also feature a 5K Walk starting at 6am. The first 10 participants who finish the 5K Walk will also receive T-shirts. Entrance to the health fair and the 5K Walk is free.<\/p>\n
Those who attend the\u00a0health fair\u00a0can also take advantage of free\u00a0health\u00a0services including free flu immunizations, screenings for blood pressure and blood glucose levels, as well as free HIV and STD testing and counseling.<\/p>\n
The CHCC Immunization Program, Maternal Child\u00a0Health\u00a0Bureau, Marianas\u00a0Health\u00a0Services, the Division of Youth Services, and the Commonwealth Cancer Association will be joining other organizations that will be hosting information and demonstration booths. There will also be presentations from organizations like 500 Sails\/ Dolphin Swim Club and a Zumba class by Uncle Ben\u2019s Dance Studio.<\/p>\n
Participants will also have a chance to win raffle prizes from The Shack, Coca-Cola, Subway, Hyatt Regency Saipan, Pacific Islands Club, and other prizes from other companies in the community. Funds raised will be donated to the NMC\u2019s Nursing Club to purchase lancets and other supplies used for community service projects.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0health fair\u00a0is supported with the assistance from the CNMI Area\u00a0Health\u00a0Education Center and other NMC and community volunteers.<\/p>\n
