(Contributed Photo)<br \/><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Marianas High School Glee Club\u2019s Rhythm N\u2019 Harmony is the 13th Tumon Bay Music Festivals overall sweepstakes winner\u2014for the third time in a row since 2015.<\/p>\n<p>According to Rhythm N\u2019 Harmony musical director Paul Dujua, the group has won this award five times in six years of joining the TBMF, beating all the other contestants from Guam and Saipan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAmong all the choirs and bands that participated [in the TBMF], our group had the highest score in the entire festival,\u201d said Dujua.<\/p>\n<p>The 16-person choir consists of Joselle Reyes, Erica Tubera, Clarisse Torio, Diane Hermogenes, Charley Sablan, Grace Catalma, Eden Conner, Malua Hosono, Rinisa Torres, Leonard Manuel, Miguel Aninon, John Huevos, Roland Balajadia, Gios Gozon, James Reyes, and Jordan Acaya.<\/p>\n<p>Dujua told Saipan Tribune that, on behalf of the group, they were \u201cvery happy to have been instrumental in inspiring others.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very proud to represent MHS and the CNMI,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Dujua especially thanked TBMF head Max Ronquillo and his team, as well as MHS principal Cherlyn Cabrera and the \u201cfriends and families of the community and the various businesses that assisted us in more ways than one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rhythm N\u2019 Harmony was also selected to perform at the Command Performances, the festival\u2019s finale concert last Saturday. The Command Performances feature the best performances throughout the entire festival. The MHS choir sang Magic To Do by The Schuyler Sisters and Love Heals by Jonathan Larson.<\/p>\n<p>The MHS Glee Club was formed in 2010 and won the CNMI\u2019s first choral competition in April 2011. In March 2012, the group emerged as the overall champion in the TBMF in Guam, also winning first place.<\/p>\n<p>The TBMF hosts various musical festivals and ensembles, pitting schools from Guam and the CNMI against each other in categories designed for choir, solo performances, jazz, rock, and winds and strings.
