His parents are Roberto Malate and Maria Theresa Malate.<\/p>\n<p>Malate has been a regular school representative, from the academic bee bowls from when he was in middle school at Hopwood Junior High School to the Junior Statesmen of America Summer School, Aeronautical Dolphins, National Speech and Debate Association, mock trial, and STEM Fair. He is also part of the National Honor Society at Marianas High School.<\/p>\n<p>He plans to take up Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Harvard, where he will be part of the Class 2021. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy mom has been with me throughout the struggle of the college applications\u201d he added. <\/p>\n<p>Malate also applied to other Ivy League schools like the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Princeton University, and Stanford University. Besides Harvard, he was also accepted at the University of Evansville, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and Seattle University. <\/p>\n<p>His plan after graduating high school is to go straight to college. \u201cI will really try my best to improve my science and math skills cause I didn\u2019t really have much to build on,\u201d Malate added. \u201cI spend a huge amount of my spare time on YouTube watching crash course videos or computers, or anything that interest me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Malate also attended San Vicente Elementary School and Hopwood Junior High School.
