A car that was parked behind the Sura Restaurant in Garapan was stolen early Sunday morning.<\/p>\n
Maki Y. Aquino posted on her social media page that her 2015 Toyota Corolla LE sedan with license plate ACM 609 had been stolen.<\/p>\n
Saipan Tribune called Aquino last night for an interview but she was not available.<\/p>\n
Aquino\u2019s co-worker, who requested not to be identified, confirmed that the car is indeed missing.<\/p>\n
The co-worker said it was he who parked the car behind Sura Restaurant on Saturday at 9pm.<\/p>\n
He said the car was still behind the restaurant on <\/p>\n
Sunday at about 1am because Aquino went back to get something from the vehicle.<\/p>\n
The co-worker said it was after 30 minutes when they learned that the car was gone.<\/p>\n
Aquino stated in her post that she still has the car key and had locked the vehicle.<\/p>\n
Inside the car are Aquino\u2019s identification cards, wallet, purse, cellphone, cash, and paycheck.<\/p>\n
She reportedly called all towing companies and the Department of Public Safety to find out if they had taken her vehicle but all replied in the negative.<\/p>\n
Aquino appealed to the police and public to help her find her vehicle.<\/p>\n
Last Feb. 19, a red 1998 Toyota Hilux pickup truck with license plate ABK-269 owned by June Alipio, was stolen in As Lito.<\/p>\n
Despite a $300 cash reward he offered, Alipio has not received tips or any information about his truck and who stole it.<\/p>\n
