The CNMI Women\u2019s Association and Office of Women\u2019s Affairs are inviting the public to join their two-day 4th annual Women\u2019s Summit beginning Monday, March 27, through Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center. Seats are limited for this free event.<\/p>\n
The CNMI Women\u2019s Association strives to empower the women in the Northern Marianas and prepare them for leadership roles, not only in their homes but also in political, social and economic circles. <\/p>\n
Former lawmaker Felicidad Ogumoro, who heads the seven-member association board and is also the overall 2017 Women\u2019s Month chair, is upbeat about the theme for this year, \u201cEmpowering Women as Leaders of Change.\u201d <\/p>\n
Doris Drew, special assistant for Women\u2019s Affairs, is chairing this year\u2019s Women\u2019s Summit. <\/p>\n
\u201cThis year\u2019s Women\u2019s Summit will include informative keynote speakers and panel discussions on a variety of topics including culture, health, land and environment, politics, education, and entrepreneurship,\u201d said Drew.<\/p>\n
