One of the passengers of a yellow sports car was hurt when the vehicle ran off the road and fell into a ditch while heading down from the Suicide Cliff in Marpi on Friday morning. <\/p>\n
The Department of Public Safety\u2019s information office has yet to provide information about the accident.<\/p>\n
Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services spokesman Derek Gersonde, said a 23-year-old Chinese woman complained of abdominal pain and sustained bruises and abrasions on the shoulder and chest due to the use of a seatbelt. <\/p>\n
Gersonde said the woman also suffered abrasions on the legs.<\/p>\n
The injured woman was seated behind the driver of the car. She was brought to the Commonwealth Health Center\u2019s emergency room for treatment. <\/p>\n
Gersonde said the driver and the front passenger had no injuries and refused to be taken to the hospital.<\/p>\n
Gersonde said that DFEMS received a call from DPS 911 dispatch on Friday at 7:02am about a car accident in Marpi<\/p>\n
At 7:45am, DFEMS medics and two rescue teams from Garapan and Susupe fire stations were dispatched to the scene.<\/p>\n
The car was reportedly heading down from Suicide Cliff when the driver failed to slow down, resulting in the vehicle running off the roadway. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
