{"id":249662,"date":"2017-04-06T06:06:27","date_gmt":"2017-04-05T20:06:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=249662"},"modified":"2017-04-06T06:06:27","modified_gmt":"2017-04-05T20:06:27","slug":"public-warned-high-surf-friday-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/public-warned-high-surf-friday-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Public warned of high surf until Friday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Based on information received from the National Weather Service in Tiyan, Guam, and compiled at the CNMI Emergency Operations Center State Warning Point, a small craft advisory is in effect until 6am Friday.<\/p>\n<p>A high surf advisory is also in effect until 6am Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Combined seas of 7 to 10 feet and winds of 15 to 20 knots with frequent gusts of 25 knots will continue through early Friday morning. <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, a large north swell is moving through the Marianas waters. The north swell has increased to a range of 6 to 8 feet. This is large enough to produce hazardous surf on north facing reefs. <\/p>\n<p>Waves and surf along north facing reefs has risen to hazardous levels of 7 to 10 feet.
