The Micronesia Islands Nature Alliance is seeking nominations for its \u201cGreen Awards\u201d which will be presented at the organization\u2019s annual Green Gala event on Sept. 8, 2017. The Green Awards recognize individuals, companies, and schools who promote environmental stewardship and are committed to the preservation of the Commonwealth\u2019s precious natural resources, as follows:<\/p>\n
\u2022 The Environmental Champion Award: Given to an individual who has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to the environment and preservation of our natural resources.<\/p>\n
\u2022 The Environmental Heroes Award: Given to a school, public or private, whose dedication to the environment is echoed through its students and all the work that they do in protecting our natural resources.<\/p>\n
\u2022 The Green Business of the Year: Given to a business that is committed to conservation incorporated the green business culture through its entire organization. <\/p>\n
To submit nominations, please send the following information to MINA, attention Roberta Guerrero by email: rguerrero.mina@gmail.com, or mail to MINA, P.O. Box 506645, Saipan MP 96950. You may also drop your nominations at MINA\u2019s office located on the ground floor of Gualo Rai Center. Nominations must include: 1) your name and contact information; 2) your nominee and the category you are nominating in; and 3) at least a one page narrative explaining why your nominee should receive a Green Award. The deadline for submissions is June 1, 2017.<\/p>\n
