But just like a card player, they are keeping their cards close to their chest.

PIC web marketing manager Paul Dujua said their latest offering is an eat-four, get-one free promo at The Magellan. “This is for our lunch and dinner buffet, every Mondays to Saturdays where one eats free for every party of four.”

“It is not meant for huge parties that’s why for those groups who reserve the banquet, we also offer discounted rates. This is covered by a different promotion,” added Dujua, who joined the PIC family in 2000.

The promo, however, has a maximum cap of 12 people and it is not applicable for huge parties, added F&B manager Rommel Bartolo. “There are some who make reservations for 24 people for example in a banquet.”

“But when they learn about the promo they would try to request if they could avail of it by breaking into groups of four. We explain to them that they can’t do that. As much as possible, we’re trying to avoid this.”

The Magellan is one of the largest restaurants on the island and it is considered PIC’s flagship outlet where hotel guests, tourists, and local customers could enjoy a gastronomic feast featuring a wide selection of international cuisine during brunch and dinner buffets.

This is the reason why Dujua and Bartolo advise that those planning to eat at The Magellan make reservations first.

“We always recommend for our customers to make reservations since we’re also very popular to local clients. You can’t tell when are we going to have a full crowd. For Sunday, we’re expecting around 600 to 700 guests,” said Dujua.

“We always have a good crowd everyday and we’re expecting to have another busy day this coming Easter weekend. There are already 300 who made their reservation early Wednesday, and our annex and Charley’s Cabaret had been reserved for private functions on Sunday,” added Bartolo.

Their back-up plan, if The Magellan reaches its full capacity, is to set up extra chairs and tables outside the restaurant. One time, their customers reached 1,000 due to the 100 percent occupancy rate of their hotel.

Future offerings
Dujua said PIC continues to also think of new things that would keep their regular customers coming back while attracting new ones in the process. “We also need to introduce new things, especially now that there are other projects being developed in the south. Competition has also become stiff.”

He said that children who would be waterpark guests on Sunday could join their Easter activities like Easter Egg decoration and Egg Hunt. PIC would also launch the inaugural SihekyMan Triathlon on June 3 that would replace the annual laser tag tournament.

Siheky Man is a regular triathlon event that would have a 1.5-kilometer swim, 40K bike, and 10K run.

Dujua said they are also upgrading their rooms but doing it gradually so they could still accommodate a good number of guests. New facilities and other amenities are also in the planning stages that could open within the year.

Pacific Islands Club-Saipan has promotions, events, and other amenities in store for its guests and…

[4
16326,16327,67,409
post-250220","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-local-news","tag-easter-egg","tag-egg-hunt","tag-people","tag-pic
["GET
