{"id":25037,"date":"2012-07-26T09:07:18","date_gmt":"2012-07-26T09:07:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newspaper.ctsi-logistics.com\/?p=25037"},"modified":"2012-07-26T09:07:18","modified_gmt":"2012-07-26T09:07:18","slug":"boh-now-accepting-grant-applications-for-small-businesses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/boh-now-accepting-grant-applications-for-small-businesses\/","title":{"rendered":"BOH now accepting grant applications for small businesses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bank of Hawaii is now accepting applications for the \u201cI Kinometi Para I Kumunid\u00e5t I Isl\u00e5-ta\u201d Small Business Revitalization and Development Grant for projects that will foster small-business development and economic activity within Saipan.<\/p>\n<p>Bank of Hawaii will invest up to $25,000 in grants. Small-business owners are invited to submit applications by Aug. 24. The award is open to small-business owners with a successful track record in operating a business or management experience.<\/p>\n<p>The bank established the grant program to help promote new Saipan businesses and to encourage existing small businesses to expand.<\/p>\n<p>If not already completed, grant awardees are required to complete one of the following before the end of the year:<\/p>\n<p>-CNMI Small Business Development Center small business training program.<\/p>\n<p>-Bank of Hawaii Smart Money small business financial education training.<\/p>\n<p>Grant awardees are also expected to report back to the bank on how the grant has made a difference to their business and the community.<\/p>\n<p>Application forms are available at Bank of Hawaii&#8217;s Garapan and Chalan Kanoa branches or by contacting our Saipan regional manager at (670) 237-2951.
