According to McDonald’s executive assistant Mabel Ayuyu, the event turned out to be a huge success, a success she wishes to see annually.

“We wanted to do something for the kids. Some of the eggs have ‘be-our-guest’ cards in them, so kids can get French fries, an apple pie, sandwiches, happy meals, and more,” she said.

According to Ayuyu, the Easter egg hunt was held last Black Saturday so as not to get in the way with family plans for Easter Sunday. Prizes include a $15 McDonald’s gift certificate for those that found the elusive Ronald McDonald egg and silver egg and participants that were able to collect the most eggs of the group.

A cash prize of $25 was awarded to the participant that found the golden egg.

The egg hunt was divided into two categories divided by age, with the smaller area of the egg hunt designated for participant’s ages 3 to 5 and the larger area for ages 6 to 9.

“We are very thankful to the community for coming in to support us and partake in the Easter egg hunt. Hopefully we continue this next year. It would only get better,” said Ayuyu, hinting that the egg hunt could be an annual thing.

“We’ve been so surprised with the turnout that this may end up as an annual event and we hope to continue [organizing] this as something free for the kids,” she added.

Both children and adults alike were able to bond last Black Saturday during the McDonald’s…

[4
16443,3590,163,10495
post-250634","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-local-news","tag-black-saturday","tag-easter-egg-hunt","tag-kids","tag-mabel-ayuyu
["GET
