(Contributed Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Marianas High School\u2019s clash with other Guam schools resulted in the Dolphins securing the People\u2019s Choice Award along with placing third overall in a competition held recently at the University of Guam.<\/p>\n<p>The 2017 UOG Sustainability Conference and Green Dream School Competition at the Hyatt Regency Guam was a competition that aimed to interest students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math through designing a green sustainable school model.<\/p>\n<p>The UOG center for sustainability program coordinator Phil Cruz announced last Thursday that the MHS Dolphinatic Architects won the People\u2019s Choice Award. The People\u2019s Choice Award is given to the design that garnered the most votes from attendees of the conference.<\/p>\n<p>The MHS sustainable action plan included a maintenance plan with projected costs as the student\u2019s research showed that maintenance costs were not factored into some energy solutions implement in other schools on Saipan.<\/p>\n<p>Kagman High School also represented Saipan, along with Saipan Southern High School.
