The NMI Rollers downed Mt. Carmel School, 73-50, in the boys U18 division game in the 2017 Francisco M. Diaz Memorial Youth League last Tuesday at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.<\/p>\n

The NMI Rollers jumped to a 14-0 lead and never looked back for its third win. <\/p>\n

Angelo Factor, Kenji Abobo, and Jude Tengco alternately hit baskets in the NMI Rollers\u2019 good start, while the rest of their teammates provided support in the ensuing quarters to hand their squad a 23-point winning margin.<\/p>\n

Abobo top-scored for the NMI Rollers with his 13 points, while Factor and Tengco also finished in twin digits with 11 and 10 markers, respectively. Four other NMI Rollers players combined for 23 points<\/p>\n

Tony Deleon Guerrero led the MCS Knights with his 11 points, while Kiko Gamab chipped in 7.<\/p>\n

In the other boys U18 division match this week, 670 Sonics XVIII defeated sister team 670 Sonics XVI, 52-44.<\/p>\n

Roberto Paragados lifted the 670 Sonics XVIII to the win after scoring 11 points, 7 of them came in the second half where his squad gained cushion after the match ended in a deadlock by halftime, 18-all.<\/p>\n

Paragados also got a lot of help in the second half with four of his teammates contributing at least 4 points apiece. In the first half, only Ronald Bernardo made more than two field goals for the 670 Sonics XVIII.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the NMI Rollers and Ol\u2019Aces Extreme won the final two games in the boys U15 division last Saturday,<\/p>\n

The Ol\u2019Aces Extreme escaped with a 61-59 victory over the Natibu Young Warriors, thanks to the three free throws of Justin Laniyo.<\/p>\n

Laniyo finished with 9 points to back up Nehemiah Fernandez, who led the Ol\u2019Aces Extreme with his 21 points. Fernandez drilled two of the Ol\u2019Aces Extreme\u2019s last three field goals to keep the squad in front.<\/p>\n

Joel Norita paced the Young Warriors with his 19 markers, while Francisco Kumuch added 17.<\/p>\n

While the Ol\u2019Aces Extreme pulled off a close win last Saturday, it was a different story for the DYS\/NMI Rollers.<\/p>\n

DYS\/NMI Rollers cruised past Agape, 68-43, after taking control of the match right from the get-go. DYS\/NMI Rollers posted a 39-19 lead by halftime and never gave Agape a chance to recover.<\/p>\n

Chico Dela Cruz stood out for DYS\/NMI Rollers with his 14 points, while J.P. Cruz logged 12. Five other DYS\/NMI Rollers players scored at least 5 points apiece in their easy win.<\/p>\n

Chen Xuan Yang had 12 points for Agape.<\/p>\n
