Kagman Rollers earned its second win in the boys U18 division of the 2017 Francisco M. Diaz Memorial Youth League after downing the Northside Wolves, 31-25, yesterday at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.<\/p>\n

Kagman Rollers outgunned the Wolves, 11-5, in the last four minutes of the match to take its second straight victory after dropping its debut.<\/p>\n

Yesterday\u2019s match was tied for the last time, 20-all, before Kagman Rollers went on a short 6-0 run to gain cushion, going into the final two minutes of the game. Patrick Duenas scored 4 of those 6 points, while Joey Cruz tallied the other 2.<\/p>\n

A corner triple from Louie Calayag moved the Wolves within 3 points, 23-26, but that was the closest that the former could get as they turned the ball over a couple of times and missed some point-blank shots. <\/p>\n

Kagman Rollers, on the other hand, drew another field goal from Duenas after a split from Ogumoro, while Jeremy Agulto made the last basket in the match to offset the layup shot from the Wolves\u2019 Rex De Jose.<\/p>\n

Duenas, Ogumoro, and Jelbert Quitugua top-scored for Kagman Rollers with 8 points apiece, while De Jose also had 8 markers to pace the Wolves.<\/p>\n

In other boys U18 division results, NMI Rollers walloped the Ol\u2019Acex Extreme last Tuesday, 66-39.<\/p>\n

Emmanuel Cobacha and Marcel McKenzie finished in twin digits for NMI Rollers with the former recording 15 points and the latter chipping in 11. Three more NMI Rollers players combined for 22 markers to whip the Ol\u2019Aces Extreme.<\/p>\n

NMI Rollers started building a double-digit lead in the second quarter, 30-19, behind the 7 straight points of McKenzie. It kept its safe distance in the third as Jude Tengco, Jun Alipio, and Angelo Factor hit their marks, while Cobacha closed out for NMI Rollers, drilling three of the team\u2019s last four field goals.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, IT&E also eased past the Lady Knights, 55-10, in the women\u2019s division game last Thursday.<\/p>\n

Tawnie Manibusan led IT&E\u2019s rout of the Lady Knights after firing 17 points.<\/p>\n
